Dr Chien Hoong Gooi is a Clinical Psychologist who has special interests working with adults experiencing anxiety and grief. He also assists individuals who are seeking to enrich their lives, relationships, work, and overall wellbeing.

Chien completed the Doctor of Clinical Psychology and Master of Science at The University of Sydney, where he was awarded the Australia Psychological Society’s College of Clinical Psychologists Student Prize for excellence in clinical skills and research. His clinical research investigated the application of mindfulness practices in the treatment of Generalised Anxiety Disorder.

Chien specialises in the integration of mindfulness-based interventions with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. He conducts regular workshops and courses on mindfulness and has given presentations both locally and abroad. In addition to working with Indepth Psychology, he currently develops mental health projects and intervention programs at The University of Sydney Counselling and Psychological Services.
